What is the slope of a tennis court?

The slope of a tennis court is the change in elevation of a court, which should be built and maintained on one plane, 1″ in 10′ (0.833%) and a maximum of 1%. Clay courts should also slope in one plane at 1″ in 30′ to 1″ in 40′.

 

What kinds of surfaces are available?

For new surfaces, a cushioned surface (textile or acrylic and rubber) over concrete or clay with an acrylic color coat. Some cushioned surface options are Nova Sand filled Turf, Nova Pro-Bounce, Gameco Super-Cushion, and more.

 

What size fences are required for tennis courts?

A minimum fence height of ten feet is required for tennis court fencing, although it is allowed to be shorter at the service lines.

 

What types of fencing are recommended?

Aluminum or galvanized chain link fencing or vinyl-coated chain link fencing are recommended for tennis court applications.
